Englisch Projekt 7. Klassen – Teil 3: sights and activities in the UK in spring

Things to see and do in the UK in spring

Hello everybody,

we, the class 7d, researched things to see and do in the UK in April and prepared some posters.

Easter was celebrated in April this year, so we learned about Holy Week and the fun part of Easter: Easter egg hunts. It is also the month in which St. George’s Day (this is the patron saint of England) and Shakespeare’s birthday are celebrated. Also, the Queen’s birthday is in April, but she officially celebrates it later, in summer.

April is also a good time to go birdwatching and have a look at beautiful flowers like primroses and bluebells. It might be too cold to go for a swim, but you can still have fun at the sea, for example around Newcastle or at the Bempton Cliffs.

There are lots of things you can do and see, from going to one of the most exciting horse races in the world (the Grand National Race) to relaxing days at the sea. So if you’d like to learn more about sights and activities in the UK in spring, get inspired by some of our posters in the pictures.
